The Washington Capitals defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 to win the series in five games and secure their first Stanley Cup in team history.

Lars Eller scored the winning goal late in the third period to give the Capitals the lead.

Alexander Ovechkin won the Conn Smythe as the MVP of the playoffs. It was a great moment to see Ovechkin pick up the Cup that he’s wanted so desperately for the first time.

Congrats to the Capitals! Now, let’s get the offseason going!
