And then there were two.

The Washington Capitals play the Vegas Golden Knights for the Stanley Cup, with some interesting storylines for both teams. For the Caps, this marks Alexander Ovechkin’s first ever Finals experience while Vegas are looking to add on to the lore of becoming the greatest ever expansion team in any sport.

Washington showed great resolve to beat Tampa Bay Lightning in a pivotal game seven on the road. Vegas meanwhile sauntered in after disposing of the Winnipeg Jets with surprising ease 4-1. The Golden Knights won both regular season matchups between the two Cup finalists, winning 3-0 at home and then 3-1 at Washington this spring.
