Sabres Recall Forward Danny O’Regan

The Sabres announced they’ve recalled Danny O’Regan who was acquired as part of the Evander Kane trade

The Buffalo Sabres announced this morning they’ve recalled forward Danny O’Regan from the Rochester Amerks. With the long-term injury to Kyle Criscuolo, another recall from Rochester is not surprising.

O’Regan was acquired by the Sabres just last week as a piece of the trade that sent Evander Kane to the San Jose Sharks.

The 24-year-old forward was the AHL rookie of the year last season for the San Jose Barracuda with 58 points in 63 games. He has two goals in three games with the Amerks this season. His full-season AHL totals are nine goals and 27 points in 34 games between the Amerks and Barracuda.

O’Regan played 19 games in the NHL this season with the Sharks. He didn’t score any goals but did register four assists.

We’ll see where the former linemate of Jack Eichel and Boston University product is placed in the lineup at the morning skate.
