Wednesday, February 28th
Sean Malone scores the only Amerks goal as they disappoint again versus Bridgeport, losing 2-1 in OT.
The goal was Malone’s eighth of the year.
Thursday, March 1st
Victor Olofsson is able to get an assist for his 39th point on the year. Olofsson is still leading the SHL in goals with 25 and is also 3rd in the league with 158 shots on goal.
Marcus Davidsson pots home the shootout winner for Djurgarden against Malmo.
Friday, March 2nd
The Badgers fought to the end with Michigan but fell in the end 5-6 in game one of Big Ten tournament. Linus Weissbach does cash in his 10th and final goal of the season on a one-timer.
Vojtech Budik scores in back-to-back-to-back games on the power play for his 12th of the season.
After a slow game on Wednesday, Brandon Hagel comes back with a dynamite performance against the Kootenay Ice, securing two assists in the shootout loss.
Casey Mittelstadt scores two in the Gophers’ Big Ten quarterfinal loss to Penn State. Some soft touches from Casey make for some spectacular chances.
Brett Murray also picks up an assist.
Saturday, March 3rd
Rochester picks up a big win over Toronto in a strong 4-1 win over the Marlies. Newcomer Danny O’Regan scores his first two goals as an American including the empty-netter.
Justin Bailey opens the scoring. He now has five points in his last five games, including four goals.
Linus Ullmark holds steady in the crease, stopping 26 of 27 for his 19th win of the year.
Cliff Pu gets his first point of the week on an assist that was too little too late. Draft eligible Andrei Svechnikov walked all over Kingston this game. Two goals and an assist as well as six shots in the 8-3 Barrie win.
Make it four in a row for Vojtech Budik. His 13th of the year comes in a 4-1 win over Lethbridge. He is playing like he really wants an ELC now.
Linus Weissbach supplies two assists, but Wisconsin falls to Michigan 4-7 and their season is done. Weissbach stops at 26 points in 34 games.
For an undersized player at the collegiate level, Weissbach had a great year for the Badgers. The Gothenburg native played to his strengths while developing a few more traits to add to his budding development.
Now it is time for the Victor Olofsson One-Timer Goal segment.
Marcus Davidsson assists for his 20th point of the season. He now stands second amongst junior players in the SHL in points.
Casey Mittelstadt provides a spark once again for the Gophers, but they fall short ending their Big Ten playoff hopes.

The Amerks start to streak a bit with a 4-2 win over Laval. Alex Nylander has points in five straight.
Brandon Hagel scores his 13th goal of the season to open the scoring in Red Deer’s 6-2 loss to Calgary.
Cliff Pu, looking to not be overshadowed by a stacked Kingston team, registers a secondary assist against North Bay.
