This is the first edition of a post we’ll try to get out on a weekly basis. We’ll give an update on how 2018 top draft eligible players are playing for their current team. We’ll include stats and any update in their rankings for scouting site like ISS Hockey, Central Scouting and Future Considerations.

Andrei Svechnikov | F - Barrie Colts - OHL | ISS: 2 - CS: 1 (NA) - FC: 2

The Russian forward had a really nice week for the Colts. He had six goals and seven points in three games. Including a hat-trick against the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday.

Season Totals:

Filip Zadina | F - Halifax Mooseheads - QMJHL | ISS: 4 - CS: 2 (NA) - FC: 4

Zadina had two goals in two games over the weekend for Halifax. Both came in their game Saturday against Acadie-Bathurst in a 3-1 win. Svechnikov and Zadina appear to be battling for that two spot behind Rasmus Dahlin.

Season Totals:

GP: 40 | G: 29 | A: 26 | PTS: 55 | SOG: 170

Rasmus Dahlin | D - Frolunda Indians - SHL | ISS: 1 - CS: 1 (EUR) - FC: 1

Dahlin had two assists last week, but was a dynamic player again for Frolunda of the SHL. He continues to be the runaway top pick in the upcoming draft.

Season Totals:

GP: 35 | G: 6 | A: 11 | PTS: 17 | SOG: 69

Adam Boqvist | D - Brynas IF - SHL/J20 | ISS: 8 - CS: 2 (EUR) - FC: 5

Boqvist has been bouncing back and forth for the Brynas J20 team and Brynas SHL club. Boqvist is arguably the second best defenseman available behind fellow Swede Dahlin.

Season Totals (SHL Stats):

GP: 11 | G: 0 | A: 1 | PTS: 1

Brady Tkachuk | F - Boston University - NCAA | ISS: 2 - CS: 3 (NA) - FC: 3

Tkahuck picked up an assist in the one game he played last week against Massachusetts. He’s also in the mix with Zadina and Svechnikov for a top three spot come June.

Season Totals:

GP: 28 | G: 7 | A: 15 | PTS: 22 | SOG: 89

Evan Bouchard | D - London Knights - OHL | ISS: 6 - CS: 5 (NA) - FC: 10

Bouchard is moving up some draft boards. He scored three goals in two games over the weekend for the Knights. All three points came in their game against Barrie on Friday (2 goals, 1 assist). Bouchard has a nice mix of size at 6’2” and skill in his game.

Season Totals:

GP: 49 | G: 18 | A: 45 | PTS: 63 | SOG: 222

Quinn Hughes | D - University of Michigan - NCAA | ISS: 7 - CS: 4 (NA) - FC: 6

The Freshman defenseman had one assist in two games over the weekend against the University of Wisconsin. Hughes and Michigan have two meetings with rival Michigan State this upcoming weekend.

GP: 25 | G: 1 | A: 15 | PTS: 16 | SOG: 60

Oliver Wahlstrom | F - U18 USA National Development Team | ISS: 5 - CS: 7 (NA) - FC: 8

Wahlstrom picked up three points over the weekend in two games against the Madison Capitals. He scored two goals and added an assist. The skilled 17-year-old forward will attend Harvard University next season. He’s another player on the rise up draft boards and still a little underrated.
