The Buffalo Sabres recalled two players from the Rochester Amerks of the AHL this morning ahead of their game with the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow afternoon.
The first is Matt Tennyson, which is not a surprise. They’ll be without Jake McCabe and Casey Nelson this weekend due to injury. Also, Marco Scandella and Matt Hunwick may still not be ready for this weekend.
The surprise recall is goaltender Scott Wedgewood. Carter Hutton didn’t practice yesterday, but wasn’t listed on the Sabres injury report they released.

We’ll get a better idea when the Sabres hit the ice for practice at 11 AM at HARBORCENTER.
Wedgewood has appeared in 14 games for the Amerks this season with a 2.91 goals against average and .907 save percentage.
If Hutton is going to miss some time, the Sabres should still be in good hands with Linus Ullmark who has played well this season.
Stay tuned for any updates.
