Sabres announce they’ll host a team skills competition

The Sabres will finally give the fans what they want in a team skills competition that will take place in January

There has been a clamoring from fans for the Buffalo Sabres to do some more fan friendly activities and giveaway throughout the season. They increased their giveaway and promotions for this season for their fan base.

Now, they’ve announced that on January 6, 2019 they’ll host a Sabres Skills Challenge. The event will take place on the aforementioned date at 12:30 PM at KeyBank Center.

According to the press release, the current Sabres players will be divided into two teams and compete against each other in five competitions:

  • Hardest shot
  • Accuracy showdown
  • Puck control relay
  • Power play challenge
  • Shootout challenge

Tickets will be available for the event and will go on sale this Friday (December 7th) for $10. Season ticket holders will be emailed a presale code giving them early access to purchase tickets on December 5th for a reduced price of $5. Free parking will also be provided at the KeyBank Center ramp and at the surface lot on Perry Street.

All proceeds of the event will benefit the Buffalo Sabres foundation.
