Two Questions
1. What’s going on in net tonight?
The Sabres announced just now that they’ve recalled Linus Ullmark from Rochester...a day after recalling Jason Kasdorf from Elmira and keeping Ullmark out of the Amerks lineup. And the trade deadline is just days away...
Or we could be reading too much into this, and it could just be a precautionary recall after Robin Lehner was bumped around a bit last night. We’ll know more when Dan Bylsma speaks to the media around 5pm.
2. Can the Sabres get off to a better start than they did yesterday?
Last night’s opening period was hot garbage for the Sabres, as they dug themselves a 3-0 hole from which they would not recover. And that was against the worst team in the NHL. Tonight, against another bad team, the Sabres must find a way to get out of the gate with some kind of energy, and hopefully with a lead after one.
