As the Amerks ride high, much of their success can be attributed to C.J. Smith. Plus, collegiate prospects get the week off for winter break.

Tuesday, December 12th

Cliff Pu helps out on the Knights’ first goal in a 3-2 win over the Erie Otters. He gets his 26th assist on the year and would add one later in the week.

Wednesday, December 13th

25 saves in a 3-2 overtime win for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen against IPK. UPL is up to a .914 SVS%.

C.J. Smith begins an incredible week with a goal and an assist in Rochester’s 3-1 win over Utica. Casey Nelson and Nick Baptiste add assists. Linus Ullmark stops 29 shots.

Friday, December 15th

Vasily Glotov scores his 13th goal of the year after a little dry spell in the Q. Shawinigan loses 7-2 to Victoriaville, however.

Cliff Pu supplies Sam Millitec with a gorgeous no-look pass on a shorthanded rush to complete a beautiful goal for the Knights. Sarnia takes the game 6-2.

Brandon Hagel still dealing with an upper-body injury that most likely came after blocking a Cale Fleury shot with his forearm.

Brendan Guhle snipes one and Alexander Nylander scores a pretty goal for the Americans, but still, Rochester loses to Toronto in regulation 3-2. The Amerks first regulation loss since November 18th. Nylander picks up an assist and Casey Nelson posts another assist in the week as well.

Saturday, November 16th

Vasily Glotov scores his 14th goal of the year in Shawinigan’s 7-3 win over Chicoutimi.

Cliff Pu registers his third assist in the week on the 2nd goal in London’s 3-1 win over Mississauga.

The Rochester Americans scored three striaght goals to overcome a 2-0 deficit and win in overtime 3-2. Nick Baptiste scores his 5th of the year. Brendan Guhle tallies his 11th assist of the year and C.J. Smith (28-10-20-30) scores the OT winner and adds 2 assists. He now leads rookies in scoring in the AHL and is tied for 3rd in AHL scoring.
