Winless in their first five games of the season the Buffalo Sabres are looking for help from one of their prospects. They recalled 2013 2nd round pick Justin Bailey to join the club in Southern California.
Bailey was expected to make the roster out of camp by some but was unable to secure a spot on the opening night roster. He got off to a hot start in the AHL with the Rochester Americans scoring two goals in three games.
The Sabres are desperate for a spark to the team and secondary scoring on the roster. In five games only Jack Eichel, Jason Pominville, Evander Kane and Zemgus Girgensons have scored the 11 goals thus far.
Buffalo has two more games left on their west coast trip. Tonight in Anaheim and then Tuesday they make their first-ever visit to Vegas to face the Golden Knights. Bailey will likely get the first chance to be an important part of the team moving forward tonight against the Ducks.
