Three Questions

1. Can Jack Eichel channel his frustration?

Even with the Sabres getting three out of a possible four points against the Rangers and Chicago, Eichel wasn’t pleased with the final result when he talked to the media due to the collapse against the Blackhawks.

"I think that’s the problem," Eichel said. "We’re satisfied with three points. ... We had a chance to get four and we should have gotten four. For us to sit here and say, ‘Oh, well we played two of the best teams in the league and got three out of four.’ No, that’s not good enough. We had them on the ropes and we should have beat them.

2. Will the Jets’ #Bust show why he’s been so lethal?

Patrik Laine, the second overall pick in this year’s draft, is having an outstanding season. He’s scored 21 goals and 36 points in 41 games, and he’s tied for first on the team in points with Mark Scheifele.

3. Will the point streaks continue?

Eichel and Kyle Okposo have been the Sabres’ most successful offensive weapons this year, and both are riding hot streaks. Eichel has a five game point streak, while Okposo has a four game one. Okposo has been particularly good against Winnipeg, scoring twice in the teams’ last meeting and notching 12 points in his last 11 games against the Jets.
