Two Questions

1. How will the Sabres play in the second period?

Buffalo has scored the first goal in five straight games, but has lost three of those games thanks to a terrible second period effort. The problem with the Sabres is that when they’re off, they’re really off, doing things like allowing three goals in ten minutes against Toronto. Consistency has been the word of the year, now let’s actually see some.

2. Can the Sabres break a two-decade old streak tonight?

Check out this nugget courtesy of the Sabres Digital Pressbox: If the Sabres beat the Red Wings tonight it will be the first time they’ve won two in a row against Detroit since 1995, and the first time they’ve won two in the same season versus the Wings since 1990. I know Detroit’s been good for a long time, but wow.
