The Buffalo Sabres have reportedly put forward Derek Grant on waivers today.

The 26 year old played 35 games for the Sabres, the most games he’s played in a season in his NHL career. He failed to find the net in the regular season despite outstanding play in the preseason, totaling only three assists this season.

Grant has played 75 games in his career without scoring a goal. He should have a large impact on Rochester if he clears waivers, as he scored 27 goals and 45 points in 36 games with the Stockton Heat last season.
