2016 NHL Entry Draft SLEEPERS

I have been checking in on our sister SBNATION site in Montreal, habseyeontheprize, over the past 4 weeks as they are doing an awesome job of profiling the TOP 30 draft eligible players.

A couple of days ago I stumbled across a FanPost on their site titled 2016 NHL Entry Draft Sleepers – North American Forwards. Since then there have been three additional FanPosts highlighting North American Defenseman, North American Over Agers, and European Forwards. They are like nothing else I have come across in terms of the depth of detailed skills information, past history and statistics, projections and player highlight videos. Some of the profiles I most enjoyed included Cam Dineen, Victor Mete, Frederick Allard, Brinson Pasichrunk, Janne Kuokkanen, and Alan Lyszarcczyk. For myself, the players highlighted are likely to fall into the 2nd through 7th rounds and this information is perfect knowing Buffalo has a boat load of picks in these rounds.

In the past, I have expressed my gratitude to T McGee for his incredible NHL Mock Drafts, GM for a day, and many other informative Fan Posts. Likewise, I have a lot respect and admiration for the time and effort that has gone into the writing of these SLEEPER profiles and they should come in handy for the draft on Friday evening and Saturday. I think the writer’s handle, ScoutingLife, has been a new addition to Diebytheblade. Oh yeah, a final comment. I strongly believe the participating members at DBTD are stronger and more frequent commentators than those at the Hab’s site and a large part of this is due to the healthy manner in which Andy manages this site.
