Three Questions

1. Can Buffalo stop Ovechkin?

Ovie’s going to have good numbers against any team, but he’s averaging over a point per game against the Sabres with 41 points (26+15) in 39 games against the blue and gold, and scored a hat trick on Wednesday. Watch out for #8.

2. Where da goals at?

After scoring four in a miracle performance against Calgary, the Sabres were back to their one-goal selves in a shootout loss to Detroit. Washington has given up the second-fewest goals against in the NHL with 42 in 19 games.

The Sabres practiced with some new lines yesterday, and we’ll see if that can help generate any kind of offense against what is still one of the best teams in the league?

3. Who will play in net for the Sabres?

Bylsma said that Anders Nilsson will play sometime this week, and this week is running out. That being said, Robin Lehner played well against the Red Wings and has been a solid presence on the ice all year. Our bet is with Nilsson tonight - he of the .951 save percentage - can he continue his incredibly strong play this year?
