Bogosian, Gorges both possibly "week-to-week" with injuries

The Sabres will be dealing with important injuries on the blueline.

The Sabres regular season hasn't begun, but the team is already dealing with injuries. Dan Bylsma told media three defensemen are on the shelf, including Josh Gorges and Zach Bogosian. Bylsma said Gorges is week-to-week with a lower-body injury, while Bogosian could be as well. Jake McCabe is being evaluated for an uppder-body injury.

Bogosian is a big loss for the Sabres out of the gate, as he was expected to play top minutes on the blueline. His likely partner, Rasmus Ristolainen, skated with the team for the first time today since his injury.

The injuries could open the door for second-round pick Brendan Guhle to get his nine-game tryout. He has impressed in the preseason thus far.
