Sabres vs. Devils preview: The race for 30th continues

New, comments

With twelve games to go, can the Sabres keep pace with the Coyotes, who lost last night, or will they close the gap to one point?

Two Questions

1. Can Anders Lindback just cool it with the Vezina stuff please?

Since being traded to the Sabres, Anders Lindback has appeared in seven games and has sported a stellar .934 save percentage. With 30th place on the line, will Lindback continue his red-hot play, or will he finally regress back to the sub-.900 goalie he was in Dallas?

2. Speaking of hot streaks, will Johan Larsson continue his?

Over his past five games, Larsson has six points including three goals. Playing with Matt Moulson and Tyler Ennis will surely help boost anyone's numbers, but will the top line continue to produce consistently and effectively for the Sabres over the final dozen games?

Projected BUF lines

Moulson - Larsson - Ennis
Foligno - Varone - Gionta
Deslauriers - Schaller - Hodgson
D'Amigo - Ellis - Dalpe

Weber - Riistolainen
Benoit - Strachan
Zadorov - Ruhwedel

Goal: Anders Lindback
