Sabres at Senators preview: Healthy Scratch City

New, comments

Hodgson, Strachan, and Ceci will all ride the pine tonight as the Sabres take on the Sens.

Game #55

Buffalo Sabres (16-35-3) vs.
Ottawa Senators (20-22-9)

Puck Drop: 7:00 pm EST | First Niagara Center | Buffalo, NY
TV: MSG, RDS2, TSN5 | Radio: WGR 550
SB Nation Senators Blog: Silver Seven

Two Questions

1. How many shots on goal will the Sabres get tonight?

Buffalo tied a franchise low on Sunday with just 10 shots, and only five of those came in the final two periods when they were down a goal. That's a pathetic number for a team of ten year olds let alone a professional hockey team, so how will they respond to the embarrassment tonight?

2. Can Marcus Foligno look as good tonight as he did in Buffalo's last game?

Coming back from injury, Foligno had a goal and assist against the Islanders on Sunday, but consistency has been an issue for him. Can the still-young winger keep up his effort tonight?

Projected BUF lines

Stewart - Girgensons - Ennis
Moulson - Mitchell - Gionta
Foligno - Flynn - Stafford
Deslauriers - Ellis - Kaleta

Gorges - Myers
Zadorov - Ristolainen
Weber - Meszaros

Goal: Jhonas Enroth
