The Sabres will open one of the more wide-open and exciting training camps in recent memory today. Here are some things to ponder as camp gets underway.

After a long summer, the Buffalo Sabres will finally open their training camp for the 2014-15 season today. The players are in, physicals are being awkwardly administered, and practices will open to the public tomorrow morning.

Hockey is back in Buffalo.
