The Sabres made headlines yesterday, finally officially naming their coaching staff and making changes in their front office. Mark Jakubowski can eliminate two words from his title, moving from assistant to the general manager to assistant general manager.

  • The Sabres officially announced Ted Nolan's coaching staff, and there were no real surprises. Arturs Irbe, who had been rumored to be the next goalie coach for nearly the whole off-season, joins Bryan Trottier, Danny Flynn and Tom Coolen [Sabres.com]
