Dominik Hasek elected to Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2014

New, comments

The greatest Sabres player ever is heading in to hockey's hallowed hall in the class of 2014.

The hall of fame class of 2014 has been announced, and Buffalo Sabres legend Dominik Hasek is a member of the class of 2014.

Hasek joins Peter Forsberg, Mike Modano, and Rob Blake to form one of the most impressive HOF classes in a few years. Joining them are referee Bill McCreary and coach Pat Burns. Hasek, who finally refused to stop playing professionally long enough to be elected, is one of the greatest (or possibly the greatest) goalies of all-time, and though his HOF induction was never in doubt, it's great to see the Dominator finally find his rightful place among the game's greats.

You'll find some quotes from Hasek on his election below, and also the video of his induction into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame, which took place last November.

Anybody want to take wagers on when his number gets raised to the FNC rafters?
