2014 World Junior Championship Update

Just a quick update here, folks – As the teams enter the elimination round of the 2014 World Junior Championship today, the three Buffalo Sabres prospects have all played well for their respective teams.

Mikhail Grigorenko leads the way for Russia, leading his team and being 9th in the tournament with six points (3+3) in four games. His teammate Nikita Zadorov has two goals, including one shorthanded, and an assist in his four games as well.

Rasmus Ristolainen has one goal in his two games for Finland, but has been held out recently because of the flu. He is expected to return shortly.

Russia plays the USA this morning, while Finland will play the Czechs later today. We’ll keep updating you on their progress as the tournament progresses.
