Sabres at Bruins Preview: Can the giant be felled twice?

New, comments

The last times these two teams played, the Sabres beat the Bruins convincingly. Can they do it twice in a row, and win their third straight for the first time all season?

Jen Fuller

The Sabres and Bruins face off again tonight, their second game together in three days. The last time they played the last place Sabres beat the not-last-place Bruins 4-2 thanks to big efforts from Marcus Foligno, Brian Flynn, and even a goal from Drew Stafford (I know!)

Tonight, the Sabres will have to face Boston again without Cody Hodgson, who will be out for a few weeks thanks to an upper body injury suffered on Thursday. The newly acquired Linus Omark will take his place, though Ted Nolan would not say where.

It's Sabres/Bruins, Part II, tonight in Boston.

Two Questions

1. Linus Omark will make his Buffalo Sabres debut tonight. How will he fare?
It's a stretch to expect Omark to make a huge impact tonight in his first game wearing blue and gold, but

2. Tuukka Rask has been surprisingly awful in his career against Buffalo. Will the Sabres continue to haunt his dreams?
Rask is 0-4-1 in his last five contests against the Sabres, with a 4.25 GAA to boot. And the Sabres did score 4 goals in their last game. Hmm....
