The annual summer development camp begins today for the Buffalo Sabres, and it offers the first chance for coaches, media, and fans to see the future of the blue and gold.

The camp runs July 8-13, and will be open to the public on Monday through Thursday. The team will hold open practices from 10:00am-12:30pm on Monday through Wednesday, and will sell tickets for a Thursday night scrimmage that starts at 6:00pm. All events will be held this year at the First Niagara Center.

The roster for the camp is very exciting this year; all of the team's most recent draft picks will be there, including Mikhail Grigorenko, Zemgus Girgensons, and Joel Armia. Promising young NHLers will also be in attendance, including Marcus Foligno, Luke Adam, and Cody Hodgson.

During the open practices, the players will be divided into two groups and will participate in both on and off ice workouts designed to expose them to the Sabres system and give them an idea of what NHL conditioning is like.

Seeing as how the event is free, being held at the arena this year, and has an incredible roster of prospects attending, there's likely to be a big turn out. Are any DBTBers planning on going? If so, which prospects are you most looking forward to seeing?
