The Sabres can increase their chances of making the playoffs by 6.6% with a win or decrease them by 11.3%
- Ryan Miller is 10-2-5 in his career against the Thrashers and will most likely get the start against Atlanta. He has a 2.53 goals against average and .913 save percentage which is one of the lower goals against averages against a team that he has played more than 10 times.
- Tyler Ennis had a three game point streak going until the Hurricanes game on Tuesday night. He has quietly moved into fourth place among rookies in total points scored, one point behind the Islanders' Michael Grabner. Carolina's Jeff Skinner leads all rookies with 53 points.
