Man, if you're going to have a random week off of work, this is the week to do it. I've watched approximately 6 hours of hockey per day over the past few, and more curling than I ever thought possible (thank you CNBC.) It continues today with another game each for the US, Canada, and Russia.

Today's Schedule:
Norway vs. USA - 3pm - USA (network)
Canada vs. Switzerland - 7:30pm - CNBC, CTV
Russia vs. Slovakia - 11:55pm - CNBC, TSN

Yesterday's Games:
Sweden beats Germany 2-0 -

Finland defeats Belarus 5-1 -
Czech Republic beats Slovakia 3-1 -

Why was Jochen Hecht initially left off the German Olympic roster? I don't know the answer to that question but I am happy it happened. Since that time Hecht has been good at both ends of the ice. The defensive zone was never in question but it has been nice to see him increase his production in the offensive zone.
