New, comments

On Tuesday at 3 p.m. Eastern the United States and Switzerland will kick off the Hockey Tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Six members of the Buffalo Sabres organization will be representing their countries. Lindy Ruff (Canada-Assistant Coach), Ryan Miller (United States), Henrik Tallinder (Sweden), Toni Lydman (Finland), Jochen Hecht (Germany) and Andrej Sekera (Slovakia) will all take to the ice over the next couple of weeks.

The preliminary round will begin on Tuesday afternoon and continue until Sunday evening. Next Monday will be a day off and the tournament will resume next Tuesday. All 12 teams will advance to the qualification round and will be reseeded based on their preliminary round results. The entire format can be found here.
