Preseason Game 5: Sabres vs. Canadiens Preview

New, comment

With the final two preseason games before the start of the season next week, these games are the final tuners for the Canadiens on Saturday.  While the final roster has not been released yet, the Sabres have said that Miller and Lalime will play a full game during each of the two games this weekend.

The main point of these games is the need to showcase the final few spots in the lineup.  Ruff announced the probable first three lines last week and the final two games will determine who goes on the fourth line.  While the consensus would be Kaleta, Ellis, and Paille, there are rumblings that Paille's game is not well liked and may be replaced by Gerbe or Kennedy or McCormick.  Depending on how well they play in these games will determine where they end up on the depth chart.

For the Canadiens, Carey Price will be in net while many of the regulars will suit up for the Canadiens due to this being their final preseason game of the year.  Game time starts at 7pm and will be radio only as it has been for the entire preseason.
