Game Notes

  • The trade deadline has officially passed and it's time to play hockey. The Sabres re-signed Tim Connolly to a two-year extension, traded for Dominic Moore (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Mikael Tellqvist (Phoenix Coyotes). They also traded away Ales Kotalik.
  • Sabres are currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference but have games in hand on most of the teams they are behind in the standings.
  • In addition to the trades, the Sabres will get Thomas Vanek and Maxim Afinogenov back in the lineup tonight.
  • Tim Connolly is expected to center a line with Thomas Vanek and Drew Stafford.
  • Dominic Moore will not be in the lineup for the Sabres tonight. The trade was not made official until after 6 PM and there was not enough time for him to make it to Buffalo.
