All-Time Number Debate: 3 Richie Dunn

So many Sabres have come and gone in the organization over the past 39 years.  But who was the best wearing their number.  This is going to settle that debate.  Using the Buffalo Sabres Alumni listing of all-time uniform numbers we will post a player a day based on their number.  After a certain uniform number is up, we put the vote to you.

Richie Dunn played for the Sabres two different times, the first was from 1977-1982 and then again from 1985-1989.  Dunn played a total of nine seasons with the Sabres wearing two different jersey numbers.  He wore number 3 specifically from 1980-1987.  During this time, Dunn played in 262 games, scoring 25 goals and 123 points.  Dunn's best years as a Sabre came between 1979-1980.

Dunn played a total of 12 seasons in the NHL for three teams.  After his first stint in Buffalo, Dunn played for the Calgary Flames for the 1983-84 season and then moved on to the Hartford Whalers for the 1984-86 seasons.  In Dunn's 12 seasons, he played a total of 483 games scoring 36 goals and 176 points.
