All-Time Number Debate: 3 Jim Hofford

So many Sabres have come and gone in the organization over the past 39 years.  But who was the best wearing their number.  This is going to settle that debate.  Using the Buffalo Sabres Alumni listing of all-time uniform numbers we will post a player a day based on their number.  After a certain uniform number is up, we put the vote to you.


Jim Hofford played in two seasons for the Buffalo Sabres.  He wore jersey number 3 during the 1987 season.  During that season, Hofford played in a total of 12 games recording 8 shots on goal and a -1. 

Hofford played in a total of two seasons for the Sabres, playing a total of 17 games.  Hofford was drafted in the 6th round of the 1983 draft by the Sabres.  He spent most of his career in the AHL, playing a total of six seasons in Rochester.  Hofford also played one game for the Los Angeles Kings.  He never registered a point in his NHL career.
