What to Watch for (3/12)

Here are the games to watch while flicking through the channels during intermission:

Pittsburgh at Columbus - 7:00pm (XM 208, Center Ice)

The Penguins have won their last eight games and 9 of their last 10 under interim coach Dan Bylsma.  The Blue Jackets have won 10 of their last 15 since they lost to the Penguins in January.  In net for the Blue Jackets is probably going to be Steve Mason while Fleury should man the other net.

New York Islanders at Montreal - 7:30pm (XM 237, Center Ice)

The Islanders are heading into the lion's den tonight as they face a hungry Montreal team that needs to cement their place in the playoffs.  Montreal won their first game under Bob Gainey and are looking to build off of that momentum against a team that has won only one road game since Thanksgiving.

New York Rangers at Nashville - 8:00pm (XM 239, Center Ice)

The Rangers have won three of their last four while the Predators have lost their last three.  New coach John Tortorella has had the Rangers playing with much more spunk and the addition of Sean Avery has helped that as well.  The Predators are hanging onto the eighth place in the Western Conference but very precariously with three teams behind the Predators a point back.

Carolina at Dallas - 8:30pm (XM 204, Center Ice)

The Stars have lost their last six home games while the Hurricanes are coming off a shootout loss to the Blackhawks.  The Hurricanes have been outstanding in the second game of a back-to-back situation this season.
