Season Series 1-1-0

It seems like forever ago when the Sabres played at home, or before 9PM for that matter, but tonight they return home to take on a familiar opponent. There is something about games between the Sabres and Leafs at HSBC Arena that brings out the best in both teams.

The Sabres and Leafs have only met twice this season but the season series heats beginning with this game. The Sabres and Leafs will play a total of four times in the final two months of the season. Buffalo will continue to play with a make shift defensive corps but they get Teppo Numminen back in the lineup. This will give them one more veteran defenseman.

Ryan Miller will be back between the pipes for the Sabres after Lalime made 34 saves in a 3-2 loss against Anaheim on Monday. The Leafs have recalled Justin Pogge and he is expected to start. Pogge struggled in his last start but he was outstanding against Buffalo in the Pre-Season.
