The Sabres long road trip is finally about to end tonight. I mentioned before the trip started that five points would be a successful road trip and I stand by that statement. That means that a point tonight would be enough for the Sabres to have a successful road trip.
If the Sabres are going to get at least one point tonight, they will do it without two players that were in the lineup on Saturday night. Jochen Hecht and Jaro Spacek will both be out of the lineup tonight. The Sabres recalled Mike Weber from the Portland Pirates to replace Spacek and Adam Mair is expected back in the lineup to replace Hecht.
The Sabres were already thin on the blue line and the injury to Spacek makes it that much worse. They have only two experienced defensemen in the lineup. They will rely heavily on Toni Lydman and Craig Rivet with the inexperienced defense that will play tonight.

The above numbers are estimated although I expect that top pairing to play close to 30 minutes. Paetsch and Gragnani will probably get 12-14 minutes as opposed to 10 minutes.
