Final Score

It's only been a week but it feels like a lifetime since we have seen real hockey but we get that opportunity tonight. You heard me right, we get to watch hockey tonight. The news came out on Sunday morning that all four Western Conference games this week will be televised on MSG. We will be listening to the home team announcers but we will be watching the game.

If you are without the Center Ice Package, you probably don't know a whole lot about the Edmonton Oilers. I have the Center Ice Package and I still don't know a whole lot about the Edmonton Oilers. A couple of guys to keep your eye on would be Ales Hemsky, Shawn Horcoff and Sheldon Souray beyond that I can't tell you much. Oh yeah and their website is terrible...it is way too much white on one site.

The Sabres came into the break playing pretty good hockey but lost their last game to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Sabres played two games in Florida before the break and now they head out West for four games in seven days. The NHL schedule makers didn't do the team any favors but they need to come away with four or five points in the four games.

Thomas Vanek was the Sabres lone representative in the All-Star game so most of the team shoukd be well rested. Heck Vanek might be rested too. He somehow managed to stay off the scoresheet in a 12-11 shootout win for the Eastern Conference.

Still no word on the starting Goalies although I would expect Miller between the pipes for the Sabres and ex-Sabres Goalie Dwayne Roloson for the Oilers. I will update this prior to face-off if possible.

Anyone else miss hockey the way I have? Let's drop the puck!!!
