There won't be the same excitement surrounding this game as there was for the game this afternoon at Wrigley Field but as I've said many times before, there is something about the Sabres vs. Leafs that gets me excited. There are also so many stories surrounding the Sabres right now that people are interested in seeing what they do on the ice.
The Sabres will have a completely different look when they take the ice tonight. First of all they will look different because they will be wearing their third jersey on the road for the first time ever. In addition the line combinations will be noticeably different as well. Jochen Hecht has found himself in Lindy Ruff's doghouse and will Center the fourth line with Andrew Peters and Daniel Paille. Peters will be in the lineup because Adam Mair is doubtful with an injury. Thomas Vanek will be reunited with Drew Stafford and Derek Roy and Matt Ellis will play between Jason Pominville and Clarke MacArthur.
It looks like the Sabres will get the Leafs backup Goalie Curtis Joseph. Joseph has played many great games against the Sabres but maybe tonight will be an opportunity to take advantage of a much older, slower Curtis Joseph.
