[open thread] Buffalo Sabres vs. Nashville Predators

Tonight will be the third consecutive game that the Sabres welcome back an old friend, tonight J.P. Dumont will be in town with the Nashville Predators.  The previous two games did not end the way Buffalo had hoped losing 4-3 to both the Rangers and the Flyers.  On Monday the Sabres built a 3-0 first period lead before eventually losing 4-3 in a shootout.

It will be the Buffalo Sabres debut of newly acquired Steve Bernier and he will be on the top line.  Bernier will play on the Right Wing with Derek Roy and Thomas Vanek, pretty good way to be able to fit in with his new team.  I like the idea of playing Bernier with Roy and Vanek but if it doesn't work he'll have to make the switch quickly because Kotalik was playing extremely well on that line.

I hope to see everyone here tonight for the debut of Steve Bernier.  Bernier will wear number 56 tonight if you were wondering.  If you haven't registered for a free account yet please do so now and join us for some riveting conversation about the trade and the game.
