The Buffalo Sabres have not played since their 3-2 shootout loss on Saturday at Atlanta. They hope the rest will allow them to show the Boston Bruins and a National television audience they are for real. This game may not mean anymore for the team but for me it's big. Most of the so-called experts picked the Bruins to finish better than the Sabres this season, tonights game allows the Sabres an opportunity to prove them wrong (at least for one night).

Players to Watch

Buffalo Sabres: Thomas Vanek (7G-2A-9P, 3PPG, 2SHG), Ales Kotalik (4G-3A-7P, 2PPG), Jason Pominville (2G-4A-6P), Teppo Numminen (0G-4A-4P), Clarke MacArthur (2G-1A-3P, 1PPG), Ryan Miller (3-0-0, 1.30 GAA, .945 sv%), Patrick Lalime (1-0-1, 1.44 GAA, .951 sv%)

Boston Bruins: Marc Savard (5G-4A-9P, 2PPG), Phil Kessel (5G-1A-6P, 2PPG), Michael Ryder (1G-4A-5P), David Krejci (2G-3A-5P), Tim Thomas (1-0-2, 2.54 GAA, .919 sv%)
