The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they signed defenseman Mike Weber. Weber played last season in the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires and the Barrie Colts.
Described by Darcy Regier as a "physical, defensive defenseman," the 19-year-old native of Pittsburgh, Pa., finished with 70 points (13+57) and 534 PIMs in 261 games during his four-year OHL career.
If Darcy is right about this guy he could be a fixture in Buffalo for years. I'll have my prospect profile up either today or tomorrow.
