Sabres Notes:
Lost 4-2 to Florida Friday night at the HSBC Arena...Nolan Pratt was injured in his first game as a Sabre and will be out of the lineup tonight, the injury is not believed to be serious...Jaro Spacek is also expected to be out of the lineup again after reaggravating his shoulder on Thursday against Boston...Sabres are looking to get back to .500 again after falling below .500 for the third time this season...Tim Connolly and Brian Campbell lead the Sabres with 12 points on the season...Ryan Miller did not play in the 4-2 loss to the Panthers
Canadiens Notes:: Courtesy of Lions in Winter, a Montreal Canadiens Blog
The Canadiens are coming off a last-minute loss to divisional rivals Toronto Maple Leafs... Even though he's on pace to score 36 goals and beat his previous best by 13, Chris Higgins is thought to be struggling with his touch around the net – he has taken 50 shots in 13 games... Michael Ryder only has 2 goals on the top line and likely won't be on that line tonight – though he eats up Sabres games like no other 10 goals in 23... Andrei Kostitsyn may see top line action... Although the stats don't tell the story, Alex Kovalev has been the best Canadiens winger so far... Francis Bouillon will be back in the lineup – a significant upgrade on an under confident Josh Gorges. He likes playing Buffalo with 11 points in 28 career games, a lot compared to his career 85 in 367... The Canadiens have the best PP in the league – without Souray's shot, their quick passing has been int he limelight... The Canadiens have been in every game so far this season – their one 2-goal loss included an empty net goal by Carolina...
