[open thread] Sabres vs. Habs

Time: 7:30 TV: MSG(HD) Radio: WGR55

Very few notes for tonights game because the Sabres and Canadiens have played numerous times over the past couple of weeks.

Sabres Notes:

God this is bad...from this preview on FoxSports.com

The Sabres (6-10-1) have just two overtime wins over their last eight games and have not held a lead in regulation for 487 minutes, 35 seconds since a 4-2 win in Florida on Oct. 26. Buffalo also has struggled to score for much of that stretch, getting just five goals in their last five games and converting just two of its 24 power-play chances.

Nolan Pratt returned to the lineup last night against Ottawa...Tim Connolly missed his fourth consecutive game...Andrej Sekera was returned to the Rochester Americans...have not scored the first goal in the last 14 games

Canadiens Notes::

Habs are 6-2-1 on the road this season...have scored the first goal in 13 of 17 games...Number one PP in the league with a 29.6 %...An even more impressive 33.3 % on the road which ranks number one in the NHL

Fast Fact:

Montreal is 2-0 against Buffalo this season and has outscored the Sabres 6-2 including a 2-0 shutout for Cristobal Huet on November 5th.
