Former University of Maine forward Brian Flynn (6'1", 185 lbs, 7/26/1988) was signed to a 1-year ELC this morning. He will play on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the year with the Rochester Americans, with his 1-year ELC starting next season. Over his four year career at U of M, he averaged over 1 PPG (156 pts/153 gms), and this past season was the 9th highest scorer in Div. 1 Hockey (18+30 in 40 games).

"CLARENCE, N.Y. -- ESPN hockey analyst Matthew Barnaby was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Monday morning. Barnaby... was arrested by members of the Erie County Sheriff's Department after deputies were called to respond to a Porsche Cayenne driving on its front rim, causing sparks. The Sheriff's Department said in a report that Barnaby failed several field sobriety tests and refused a breath test (which led to the revocation of his driver's license)." -ESPN.com news services
