This is just a message board conversation... but a buddy at work told me he heard (I know, I know, we want facts) that Pegula was in talks with the owner of First Arena. They talk about possibly a new team coming in next year or maybe the year after. I dont know if it would still be the ECHL, I assume it would.

Does anyone else have any confirmation of this happening?

The Buffalo Sabres have lost another important piece of the puzzle now. From the looks of it, after Christian Ehrhoff's ugly fight with Troy Brouwer, he might have broken a bone or something. He did not return to the game after the first period scrap, the cause being given as an upper-body injury.

Meanwhile Lindy Ruff remained his cryptic self in the post-match press conference, not disclosing the injury but saying that the d-man would "miss some time.. probably weeks".

The Sabres have signed the 2010 draft 3rd round pick blueliner Jerome Gauthier-Leduc to a three-year entry-level deal to further boost the ranks of offensive-minded d-men on this squad.

He's been tearing it up in the QMJHL for Rimouski with 51 pts in 35 games, by far the highest scoring d-man in the entire league. The Quebec native was also part of Team Canada’s National Junior Team Development Camp earlier this year.
