The Sabres oddly enough beat another great team while struggling against some of the worst in the league. It's hard to really make much sense of that. Adam Pardy, who started the year in Rochester, is trying to prove his worthy of an NHL spot.

With the playoffs now around the corner and the Sabres eliminated, fans are forced to watch games that mean nothing to the Sabres but something to the other team.

Once the Sabres were officially eliminated from playoff contention tempers flared. Ryan Miller and the rest of the Sabres seem rather annoyed with the fans' treatment of Miller in the Ranger game.

And with a thud the Sabres postseason hopes are gone. Maybe next year.

With just four more games to go, the Sabres slim playoff hopes got a bit slimmer last night.

It was an emotional night in Boston, but the Sabres emerged victorious and kept their slim playoff hopes alive. Also, Lindy Ruff will coach again in 2013, but for Team Canada's IIHF run.

The Sabres and Bruins will play the first hockey game in Boston since the marathon bombings tonight, and the city will try to forget, if only for a few hours. Also, the NHL will be expanding the number of outdoor games next year from one to...six?!

Marcus Foligno seems to have found a home at center for the Sabres, a position he hadn't played all season. Meanwhile up in Boston the Bruins game was postponed after the explosions that occurred at the Boston Marathon finish line.

The shorthanded Sabres won another game yesterday but it seems too little too late at this point. Now it's all about seeing who has talent.

Likely before yesterday you had never heard the name Chad Ruhwedel. Now he's on the team after signing out of UMass-Lowell to replace the injured Tyler Myers. Terry Pegula also spoke to the media for the first time in months.
