Who had the best save - Miller or Enroth?

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Spor

The Sabres have had two save of the year candidates in the past two games, but which one deserves top honors?

Can you imagine where the Buffalo Sabres would be without their goaltenders? Ryan Miller has been incredible this season, and Jhonas Enroth is having a career year in certain areas (just don't look at his record). As of Tuesday, the Sabres tending duo had the fifth highest combined save percentage of any goaltending tandem in the league.

It's hard to believe, but the worst team in the league would be abominably bad were it not for the men between the pipes, and over the last two games, they've each provided two incredible highlights to go along with their statistical excellence.

Miller and Enroth have each posted save of the year candidates in their most recent games, but since this is the internet and we must have a winner, let's figure out which incredible save was best.

Ryan Miller

Miller's end-of-the-paddle save was a perfect combination of reflexes and luck, but that doesn't make it any less impressive. Everyone loves a good diving stick blade save, and when you watch it in slow motion, it really brings out just how little of the puck Miller got, and how that little bit juuuuust pushed a wobbling puck wide enough to stay out of the net.

Jhonas Enroth

Enroth's sprawling, stick-less blocker save brought back the ghost of Dominik Hasek. Having lost his stick to the oncoming rush, and out-of-position Enroth dove backwards and managed to redirect the puck with the hand of his blocker. There was a significant amount of luck involved in this save, as Claude Giroux chose a daring along-the-ice shot despite having the entire net to shoot at, but it's still an impressive stop nonetheless.
