Amerks Update: Corey Tropp Returns To Lineup, Brayden McNabb Out A Month

Two significant moves have happened over the past few days in Rochester, featuring two future Sabres hopefuls.

After his strong debut at the end of last season, most Sabres fans were penciling Corey Tropp in to a third our fourth line role with the blue and gold. But after injuring both his ACL and MCL in the very first game of the season, Tropp (and his fans) had to put their dreams of the NHL on hold, seemingly until next season.

However, Tropp has followed in the footsteps of recent athletes who've made their recoveries more quickly than anticipated, and tonight, he'll be on the ice for Rochester just five months after undergoing major knee surgery.

While it'll be great to see Tropp on the ice for Rochester, that's likely the place he'll stay for the rest of the season, if Ron Rolston is to be believed. "I don't see him being here," Rolston said in today's post-practice interview. It's probably for the best for the young winger, as he comes back from a major injury. Let him play big minutes in a nice long playoff run in the AHL, and we'll see how things shake out next season.

News was not so good for Brayden McNabb, however, as we found out that he'll miss "at least four weeks," according to
