Here I am...just when I thought I was over you, Buffalo Sabres. Just when I was done with this whole mess of a season. I was ready to not only fire Darcy, but tar and feather him on his way out of town. I was done with this bunch of underachieving, overpaid, sorry excuse of a hockey team. And then what did they do... they gave me one of the most entertaining hockey games witnessed in First Niagra Center. You want fisticuffs- hello John Scott and Patrick Kaleta! You want some defensive play, thank you Erhoff for hustling and breaking up a 2 on 1 in the third period. You want goaltending, Ryan Miller was solid. And what can I say about Steve Ott- this guy is a hockey stud! I have a George Costanza man-crush on him! Take that "C" off Pommers and give it to Ott, I say. So, just like the jilted lover in the Air Supply song, I'm sucked back into my hockey love affair by these Buffalo Sabres.
