A little over halfway through the season the Sabres are 26 games deep and sitting pretty on 9-14-3, good for second last in the league ahead of only Florida ( Tampa has a game in hand, Washington has 2 ) who are allegedly blowing it up at the same point.

I could make some massive long post about who we should trade, who we should go after and why but I think we're all sick of that by now. Instead, I'm asking who is on the block for buyouts.

Is Leino still a candidate having been IR for 54% of his 4.5mil cap hit for the year.

Erhoff is tied up forever, and playing 'ok', but not really 4mil a year 'ok'.

Myers is playing.. badly... nowhere near his 5.5 a year hit.

Hecht, Scott, Leopold, Regehr, Pardy and Sulzer are UFA this summer. None of which screams high trade return, but I would like to see Sulzer extended.

Hodgson is coming off his ELC and bound to make a few bucks.

Flynn ( ELC ), Weber, Brennan and Enroth are all RFA in the summer. Again, none of which are netting big returns.

As an aside, Leggio is UFA in the summer as well.

Worth noting that the next two goalies in line behind miller are UFA...

Anyway. Who are you buying out?
