I applaud the new ownership trying to turn this franchise around but it needs a new captain first. Its time for a new coach and GM. NHL hockey in general has been going downhill for years. I had an occasion to watch Olympic Hockey in person in 1992 and the difference was astounding. It was USA vs Italy and there was no clutching or fighting or smashing players into the boards just good clean hockey that valued skill over roughhousing. The NHL's best (Sidney Crosby for example) routinely get beaten up and a great talent spends mucho time on the DL for a concussion. This sport is sick and needs to get back to what hockey is all about and not UFC on skates. You should all watch international or Olympic hockey and see what REAL hockey is all about. I can imagine if Wayne Gretsky was playing now he probably would spend most of his career on the DL after being beaten up by some goons who don't even get much of a reprimand.
