I was thinking about this last night and didn't have anywhere else to discuss it with other Sabres fans.

Would Henrik Tallinder still be here under Pegula? He left through free agency and got a 4 year contract from the Devils. He's arguably one of the Devils best D and everyone here will probably remember how good a pair he and Myers were. Myers then suffered the "sophomore slump" but could that also have been in large part down to the absence of Tallinder? Myers hasn't had a consistent partner since he left and while he's had his moments, is nowhere near as consistent since his first year which is when he last had a steady D partner.

Just wondering what you guys think? Would he still be here if Pegula had bought the team a year earlier? I'm guessing he would, and he'd probably have gotten roughly the same contract as he did with the Devils, but Darcy didn't have the open cheque book back then.
